Supply-Chain Planning Analyst (Planner/Buyer), Materials Management

Typical Accountabilities- Execute supply and production plans to meet customer and business requirements, balancing compliance, cost, and quality considerations.- Use and maintain supply and account management information systems (such as SAP) for forecasting, planning, order processing, and inventory management.- Provide timely and professional service to internal and external customers, including marketing companies, operations sites, distribution partners, and suppliers.- Manage and monitor documentation and data for supply and distribution activities (e.g., invoices, returns, credit/debit notes, stock reconciliation) to ensure accuracy and compliance.- Engage in risk assessment, contingency planning, and problem-solving to mitigate issues in the supply chain and distribution processes.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to exchange key information, align on manufacturing requirements, and resolve supply and customer account queries.- Prepare and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring data integrity and continuous improvement of the supply planning process.- Support compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout supply chain and distribution activities.- Provide support for process and IT systems initiatives to drive optimization, efficiency, and change management across the supply function.- Assist with understanding and applying supply chain, planning, and distribution principles within the business and with external partners.Qualifications and SkillsEssential: Secondary education or previous work experience; Knowledge of supply chain and/or account management principles; Experience using supply systems such as SAP; Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment.Desirable: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry; Relevant professional qualification; Previous work in a supply chain environment; Excellent knowledge of AstraZeneca corporate policies and standards.Key Relationship to Reach SolutionsInternal: Marketing companies; Operations/manufacturing sites; Supply teams; Credit management, and quality functions.External: Distribution partners; Contractors; Suppliers; Customs management.
